Your ultimate 3-day learn-to-ski or snowboard package designed to make your first days on the mountain smooth, fun, and full of progression. Build skills, boost confidence, and enjoy the snow with everything you need included. If this isn't your first time skiing or riding, please see our Lift, Lesson & Rental Package. 

Intro to Snow Includes: 

  • Day 1: Group Lesson, Equipment Rental and Learner Area Lift Pass for access to beginner surface lifts from 9am – 4pm.
  • Days 2 and 3: Group Lesson, Equipment Rental and full mountain Lift Passes, 9am – 4pm. 

Group Lessons 

  • Group Lessons run from 10am – 3:30pm, with a one-hour lunch break.
  • Please be at the Snowsports meeting area by 9:45am with all your equipment to meet your coach.
  • Kids 13+ may join adult lessons if space allows; please check with Snowsports on snow prior to start. 

Equipment Rental: 

  • Once you've collected your MyPass Card from Guest Services, head over to our rentals department where our friendly team will help get you fitted to your equipment. Allow plenty of time (1 hour) to get fitted before your lesson starts.
  • Equipment included: Skis or snowboard, boots, poles, and a helmet.
  • Clothing is not included but can be purchased separately.
  • For hygiene reasons, we do not hire goggles and gloves, but you can purchase these from our retail shop on mountain. 

Note: This package is designed for consistent skill-building over 3 days, so switching between skiing and snowboarding during the program is not available. 

Helpful Tips: 

  • Before heading to the lifts or collecting your Rental Equipment, you will need to get your MyPass Card.
  • This is your ticket to the mountains and you can print it from one of our Kiosks by scanning the barcode in your order confirmation email or by visiting Guest Services.
  • If you are staying in Methven, we recommend you collect your MyPass card in advance from our Town Office at 94 Main Street between 9am and 4pm, Monday to Friday.
  • Alternatively, plan to be on the mountain one hour before your lesson start to collect your MyPass Card from our Kiosks or Guest Services and your Rental Equipment.
    • Allow extra travel time during peak times or winter conditions
  • In the unlikely event that a lesson has only one person in it, there will be a reduced lesson time. 

To Change Your Booking:  

  • You can make some changes to your reservations, subject to availability. 
  • Log in to your account and head to your Profile page.
  • Select "Overview and then "Order History" 
  • Find your order and select "DETAILS" 
  • Select "RESERVATIONS" 
  • Select "RESCHEDULE" and then your preferred date.
  • Note: If you made your reservation over the phone or in person, please contact Guest Services on hello@mthutt.co.nz (use subject line "Reschedule Reservation").
