Rentals

Hire your ski or snowboard equipment on the mountain and skip the hassle of carrying gear from your accommodation to the slopes each day.  

We offer a wide range of ski and snowboard equipment, regularly tuned and maintained to keep you riding smoothly. With one of New Zealand’s largest rental selections, quality brands, and diverse options, you’ll find the right fit and feel. If you need to swap, exchange, or upgrade, or if something doesn’t feel quite right, we’ll sort it on the mountain.  

Rental Includes:  

• Skis or Snowboard 
• Boots 
• Poles or Wristguards 
• Helmet rental 
• If you already have some gear, talk to Guest Services for part-set rentals 

Rental Does Not Include: 

• Googles and Gloves - these can be purchased from our retail shop on mountain 
• Clothing - Jacket and Pants Rentals can be hired from us separately 

Ski more & Save:  

• Our daily rates improve with the more days you hire. Select the number of consecutive days using the tiles to see how the savings grow with a longer rental period. 
• Please note the discount only applies to consecutive day bookings. 

Ages:  

• We stock ski equipment and clothing for all ages. Our smallest ski gear is 77cm skis with 15.5 cm Boots (UK Child 8.5). Our largest boot is 33.0 cm (UK Adult 14.5) 
• Clothing ranges from Child age 2 years to Adult 6XL. 

Getting Fitted:  

• Our experienced team will get you fitted and on snow quickly. For lessons, allow up to an hour for orientation, gear fitting and collection before your start time.

Skiing Back-to-Back Days 

• Our rental terms are all based on consecutive days, the more consecutive days you rent the more you save. If you are looking for occasional / non consecutive days you will need to purchase multiple individual days at full price. 

Save the hassle and store on the mountain  

• If you're returning to the mountain the next day, talk to our team about our overnight storage option. We'll store your gear overnight so you can quickly collect it the next morning and get straight onto the snow.  

Damages and late returns 

• All our rental gear is electronically tracked and allocated to you. If it is damaged or not returned when due you can expect to have a conversation with our staff about additional charges. If you don’t return the rental equipment at all you can expect the NZ Police to be notified and the cost of replacing the equipment to be sought. 

Where to Collect Equipment:  

• Pick up your gear on the mountain at Coronet Peak, The Remarkables, or Mt Hutt—just look for our Rental signs in the base building. 
• In Queenstown, you can also collect from the Snow Centre at 25 Shotover St. You'll just need to make sure to return your gear here too. If you’ve booked a lesson at Coronet Peak or The Remarkables, consider picking up your gear from the Snow Centre the afternoon before for a smoother start. 

Please Note:  

• While we carry the largest range of ski and board rental equipment in New Zealand at peak times of the season even we feel the strain. Rental stock is limited and subject to availability. 
  Please note: The Queenstown Snow Centre will close for the season on 20th September 2026. If you are skiing and riding after this date all rentals will need to be collected and returned at our on-mountain rental centres at Coronet Peak & The Remarkables. Please remember that gear must be returned to the same location it was collected from.
