Train to become a Snowsports Instructor at Mt Hutt and receive an NZSki 3 Peak Season Pass completely free of charge if registered by May 31! Our early season 10-day rookie instructor training course will challenge you to really elevate your skiing or riding. You’ll train towards your NZSIA Level 1 Ski or Snowboard qualifications in preparation for becoming a professional Snowsports instructor.

During our 10-day Level 1 training course you’ll be coached by New Zealand’s best instructor trainers and develop an understanding of skills needed to deliver exceptional lesson experiences.

On successful completion of the 10-day programme, you’ll have the opportunity to be interviewed for a position in our Mt Hutt based instructor team.

  • Our trainers will help develop the confidence, skills and capability you will need in preparation to work as a professional Snowsports instructor.
  • To be eligible for the Rookie Instructor Programme - you must have the legal right to work in New Zealand.

Course Dates: 

  • Saturday, June 11th - Wednesday, June 15th
  • Monday, June 20th - Friday, June 24th

Details:

  • 10 days of training towards your NZSIA Ski or Snowboard Level 1 qualification with our world-class NZSIA Trainers/Examiners at Mt Hutt
  • Lift line privileges, equipment advice and on-mountain gear storage included
  • Opportunity to shadow real classes, gaining professional insights and experience
  • Help with registering for the relevant NZSIA / SBINZ certification exam when ready (price not included in Rookie programme)
  • On completion of the training programme, you will have the opportunity to interview for a role as an instructor with the Mt Hutt Snowsports team!
  • You require your own equipment
  • Option to pay on instalments when booking (instalment dates are set).

Terms and Conditions:

  • If you are not successful in meeting the required standards to be selected to work with the Snowsports team after completion of the programme you have the right to retain your 3 Peak Season Pass to use for the remainder of the season
  • Cancellations are required two weeks in advance for a full refund
  • Cancellations between 48 hours and 2 weeks will receive a non-refundable credit
  • Cancellations within 48 hours are subject to NZSki general Terms and Conditions
